I wish I found this sight before I ever went to Aarons. I rented a lab top computer from a Aarons store in upstate NY.

At the time I was desperate for it, I was going back to collage and need one right away, and didn’t have the cash at hand. Ever sense I did I have huge problems with them. First when I first rented the computer I was told that any problems I had with it they would fix with no charge, no madder what the problem was. And about three months later the memory board went or processor (what ever its called), then shortly after the keys started falling off.

When I went to the store excepting it to be fixed they told me both weren’t covered under warranty and they can’t fix them that I had to. After a pretty heated argument I said fine and took the loss and paid for both to get fixed, thinking I would just give it back but I had money invested in it already and didn’t want to loose it. Then about four months after that the battery died and would not charge and again the same thing happened. In addition to this a few times I fell behind on payments, which I take full responsibility for.

And they called about three times every day and came to my house even though I made an agreement to be in there with in a few days. But my normal payments where 198.00 a month which in the store it was advertised for 164 I believe, I might be off by a couple dollars not much more. but if it was late they jumped to 233. and when it came time to pay my last payment they told me I owed 167 to pay it off and when I went in to pay that they said I owed 360 dollars, and I asked about it and they couldn’t explain where the extra money came from but that’s what I owe.

I ended up paying 2,376 in the store the computer cost 550. My mother also rented a couch from them and almost the same things happened to her. if your considering renting from them I would strongly suggest DON’T. they will rip you off and from what I’ve read and experienced a lot of people have had the same experience that I had.

All I have to say is f@#$ that store and those who work there.

Monetary Loss: $1800.

Same thing happend to me kind of! I went to the store needing a laptop for college.

Told them I wanted a new one. They told me they didn't have them in stock but would order one and it would be here in two weeks. I am now on week 3. they called me today to remind me of payment due.

Asked them about the computer they were supposed to order for me. after being put on hold several times. once again they gave me the run around. Oh well we have a problem, they only ordered one and me and somebody else was supposed to get it, so they have to see who had dibs first.

OK FIRST OF ALL. MY PAYMENTS ARE PAYMENTS FOR THE PRICE OF A "NEW" COMPUTER NOT A USED LOANER THEY GAVE ME. Second of all the employees there are very unprofessional, and have no idea wtf they are talking about. They can call me and harrass me as much as they want, but until I have a NEW computer in my hands they will not see a dime from me.

It's also written right on my reciept that they are ordering a new one, so if they even think about reporting me to the credit companies,I will contact an attorney and sue them. The cost advertised for a used computer is $88 monthly. I am paying $116 for a "NEW" one that supposively every week when I call it's a different story. Last week it was OHHH the truck isnt in yet .

this week its something new.. MY PAYMENT IS DUE TODAY. THEY DON'T NEED TO CALL ME AT 11AM WAKING MY SICK 7 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER UP , TO REMIND ME OF MY PAYMENT. IT'S MY FIRST ONE, I PAY MY BILLS ON TIME EVERYTIME.

I ALSO WORKED IN A COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT FOR 3 1/2 YEARS!! They need to train there employees a little better. Maybe train them how to LIE better also. because they are idiots.

So until that new laptop is in my hand they will not see my money, matter of fact if it's not in by this Friday they are getting the *** used one back and I'll go elswhere with my buisiness, and file a complaint with the BBB!!! They wrote on my reciept ORDERING NEW ONE and the REP Signed it!!. This is the first time I delt with this dumb company and it will be my LAST. THEY GIVE YOU A LINE OF BS.

Sorry that happened to you. You say you needed it for college.

Hope you are taking english classes. Madder when spelled correctly is matter.

And when you said, "When I went to the store excepting it to be fixed they".Excepting should be spelled expecting. Stay in school, please!!!!!
